Spring Break Vision Trip

School's out! for a week!  woohoo!  I have always loved spring break; such perfect timing!  The second semester of school is always long and busy, but spring break gives a needed respite.  It's not technically "spring" in Kenya....more like the end of summer.  For us, this is just a much needed break.
Next week I am headed to Uganda!  Bundibugyo, Uganda to be exact.  This small, remote village/town is located on the western border of Uganda.  It will take me about 24 hours of bus, taxi, motorcycle taxi, and matatu hopping before I get there.  Thankfully, a friend is coming along so I won't have to travel alone!  So why am I headed to the middle of nowhere?
I might move there next year.  Some friends of mine live and work as missionaries there with World Harvest Mission.  Their small American missionary team is in need a teacher for their little one-room-schoolhouse style school.  I have applied and am playing the waiting game to see if I get the position.
If I do, I will be moving to Uganda in January (probably).  I will be teaching a few preschool and lower elementary children while helping with extracurricular activities such as discipleship, at Christ School.  This Ugandan Christian school was started by World Harvest Mission many years ago and remains one of the main missions of the team on the ground.
Please pray with me for this trip.  I am hoping that I will gain a better understanding of God's next step for my life.  I am beyond excited to visit my friends too!  Feel free to check out World Harvest Mission online!

As you are praying, please know that I am also persuing other avenues.  I am doing my best to be open to and proactive with many options.

THANK YOU!!!
