In 7th grade World History we are learning about ancient Japan, including the religion of Shinto. the students wrote down an "ema" which is a practice within Shinto of writing out your greatest wish. Here's my students' greatest wishes:
-The the world be paeaceful; that people wouldn't have to go through troubles, worries, sufferings; that there would be no sin in the world and in our hearts.
-I wish to get to meet God and be with Him for eternity.
-Xbox 720 or a car or a F1 car
-I wish I could get over stage fright
-better grades
-good grades/straight A's
-That we could focus more on God than on our personal life during the day.
-To end world hunger
-get all A+'s
-I wish that everything could be fun everywhere I go!
-I wish I a Golf cart
-I would wish to go to heaven.
-My Ema would be for....World Peace! and more wishes
-Ema: To go back in time and see Jesus and become one of his disciple for I week and come back to the future
-I ema I would be succesfull in future
-For all my wishes come true
-I wish that most of the people in Earth would end up in heaven.
-To get perfect grades in school for a good future.
-I wish that I get a water park in my room.
-To finish school and Be a professor And be good at football.
-I wanna die and still be remembered for doing something great. I wanna make something of myself that helped the world I wanns be someone taht everyone looks up to
-I wish I could make a difference in peoples lives, and a car
-If I could have one ema it would be to travel the world in first class. :)
